The importance of clean water is tantamount, considering unclean water cannot be used for human consumption and humans cannot survive without consuming water. Clean water is necessary for sanitation, another important human need. Most aquatic life, a necessity in the greater part of the human population,requires clean water to survive. Since only approximately 2.5% of all water on the earth is fresh water and less that 1% is available for direct use, keeping it clean is of the utmost importance. ------------------
