Enough family rides at Valley Fair?

Our family was thinking about going to Valley Fair (MN) soon. We've never been there before and I was wondering if there would be enough rides to entertain us. Are there many attractions that are fun but not too scary? Like things other than roller coasters but not kiddie rides. I am the teenager in the family and I like thrilling rides that aren't too scary. My brother is 7 and just tall enough to ride all of the rides. Is there enough happy medium rides to make the trip worth while? Thanks! (Also, is it crowded on weekdays?? Like Wednesdays??)
