Sentences by a crown court judge?

My friend was the victim of a serious crime. The defendant was found guilty at a crown court by a jury. The person responsible has to return to the court in a month for sentencing. Will the judge passing down the sentence be the same judge as the trial judge? Or will it just be a random other judge?
