Decorating interior of house with old bricks?

I am decorating our house and we have a lot of old bricks. I want to use them on the interior, and NOT to make a wall. I've searched all over the internet and the only good idea I've see is, if the bricks have holes, make them a pen, pencil, kitchen utensil, toothbrush holder. Our theme is Western so I thought the bricks would look cute. And if you have any other cheap, diy Western ideas, I would love to hear them. Thanks in advance for your answers. (:
